Jewish Family Service partners with other area organizations, often placing a JFS staff member on site, in order to extend our reach and help even more members in our community. JFS is also part of Network of Human Services Agencies (NJHSA), an international membership association of more than 140 non profit human service agencies in the United States, Canada and Israel.
Community Day Schools
Jewish Family Service social workers provide services such as counseling and social skills groups to Jewish day schools in our community.
Hebrew Free Loan
Hebrew Free Loan of Metropolitan Detroit provides financial help to Jewish people in the state of Michigan through the lending of money without interest. We help people in accordance with the core Jewish values of respect, compassion and confidentiality.
Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (JCADA)
With the participation of over 40 community agencies and organizations, JFS’s JCADA is working to educate, advocate, and raise awareness of the destructive issue of domestic abuse in our community.
Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network
The Jewish Hospice & Chaplaincy Network works with area hospices, medical care providers, and senior living facilities to offer supportive care with a Jewish component.
JVS helps people meet life challenges affecting their self-sufficiency through counseling, training and support services in accordance with Jewish values of equal opportunity, compassion, responsibility and the steadfast belief that the best way to help people is to make it possible for them to help themselves.
Noam Detroit is dedicated to strengthening individual and family life in the Detroit Orthodox Jewish community through education, support services, and advocacy.
Yad Ezra provides supplemental kosher food, necessities and enhancements of holidays and lifecycle events to those in need in the Jewish community. We are committed to operating a high quality food pantry through hard work and support of staff, volunteers and donors.
