Due to the temporary pause in SNAP benefits, JFS is offering a one-time emergency food assistance program for members of the Jewish community who currently receive SNAP benefits.

To qualify:

  • The household must identify as Jewish OR include an employee of a Jewish communal organization.
  • The applicant must be a current SNAP recipient.
  • The SNAP account holder must be the person listed on the application and must be present at the distribution.

Please complete the application below. The name on the application must match the name listed on the MDHHS SNAP award letter. Applicants are required to present their SNAP award letter at the time of distribution to complete processing.  The applicant or their spouse must be present at the distribution to receive a food gift card and cannot send a representative in their place.

Please note:

  • No assistance will be mailed.
  • This program is intended only to mitigate the pause on SNAP benefits. If SNAP benefits are reinstated before the first distribution date (November 6, 2025), then all distributions will be canceled.
