iPad Program for Older Adults

As we age, many of us find ourselves alone more often than when we were younger, leaving us vulnerable to social isolation and loneliness, as well as related health problems such as cognitive decline, depression and heart disease. Fortunately, there are ways to counteract these negative effects.

The Tap and Chat iPad Learning program uses technology as a way to target social isolation among older adults.  You can help by volunteering one-on-one with an older adult to teach them how to use a tablet or smart phone in order for them to stay connected with their families and friends.
