Fundraising Initiatives and Events

Throughout the year, JFS plans various fundraising initiatives and events.  The goal of these activities is to raise awareness of our programs, as well as to provide the necessary funds to support our services.   If you would like to stay informed about upcoming events, join our mailing list.

JFS Friends Campaign

DTE Friends Campaign
This is our annual campaign to raise dollars to support the Agency and those most in need.   We appreciate all of our supporters who continue to contribute to this campaign year after year.  These funds help to support all of the core services provided by Jewish Family Service, including professional social work services (counseling, case management), access to health care, transportation, services to Holocaust Survivors, home care, matching at risk children with caring mentors, and emergency financial assistance to name just a few.

The Joy Project

The Joy Project
The Joy Project is an initiative to honor the women we love by supporting women in need. The goal of the project is to raise money to support Jewish Family Service, while providing a gift to the 700 clients who are mothers.

The donations will be made in the form of a tribute in honor of a women in the donor’s life. For each donation of $18 or more, JFS will send a beautiful tribute card to an honoree — a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, mentor — to let her know a donation was made in her name.

Rosh Hashanah Tribute Cards

Rosh Hashanah Tribute Cards
This is an easy and sweet way to honor your family and friends at Rosh Hashanah. Send your friends and family members beautiful hand-designed Rosh Hashanah cards, wishing them the best for the New Year.  Your contributions help us to provide the important JFS services for older adults, counseling for children and families, access to healthcare for uninsured adults (Project Chessed), support and restitution services for Holocaust Survivors, and many other programs.
