Support Services for Older Adults
Older adults are leading healthier, more active lives than ever before. At Jewish Family
Service, older adults are empowered to gain control of their lives and, at the same time,
maintain their independence. We offer a variety of services aimed at increasing the
quality of life, and maintaining independence, dignity, and self-esteem.
Counseling
Individual, family, and group counseling is available for depression, grief and
loss, family relationships, retirement, and other life changes.
Assessments & Evaluations
An individualized plan of care is developed based on a comprehensive evaluation. Our
gerontology-trained social workers are experts at assessing the appropriate living
situations.
Financial Counseling
Assistance with applying for benefits such as social security, food stamps, Medicaid, and
other entitlements.
Care Connection
Care Connection is a JFS program that provides customized care
