Our Mission

Jewish Family Service is dedicated to helping individuals and families cope, survive and thrive in an ever-changing world. We are focused on the needs of the Jewish community while providing services to all.

Established in 1928, JFS continues to assist people in the greater Detroit area regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.

JFS is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and United Way for Southeastern Michigan. The agency also receives support from individuals contributions, bequests, and foundation, corporate and government grants.
