Support Us

Thank you for taking the time to consider donating to Mentor Connection.  Every dollar helps to support at-risk youth in our community facing one or more risk factors, including:

  • 73% of the youth live in single-parent homes or with grandparents
  • 52% of the youth live in households with reported income under $24,999
  • 36% of the youth receive special education services at school
  • 25% of the youth have a mental health/behavioral diagnosis
  • 22% of the youth live in a home with substance abuse
  • 20% of the youth have an incarcerated parent/caregiver
  • 100% of the youth referred by Common Ground for the career based program are identified as homeless youth

With a donation of $300, one match can be created, supported, and sustained for at least one year.  More than 500,000 children in Michigan could benefit from having a mentor.  Currently, only about 35,000 children are being formally mentored.  (Mentor Michigan, 2007)

Any gift — large or small — enables Mentor Connection to reach more youth in want of a mentor.  Thank you for your support and help!
