Housing Assistance

Times have been tough recently in our community.  Many people have not been able to keep their homes due to loss of jobs, divorce, medical expenses, or business downturns.  Jewish Housing Association (JHA) provides resources and support for Jewish families in the Southeastern Michigan area whose homes are threatened by the current economic crisis.

JHA was formed to educate, assist and support the Jewish community as to affordable housing options for the growing number of families whose mortgage loans are in distress or who have lost their home equity.

If you or someone you know may be in need of housing assistance, we can determine if you/they may be eligible for new government programs that offer mortgage options, such as the Home Affordable Modification or a Home Affordable Refinance, both part of JHA’s “Making Home Affordable Initiative.”

For a confidential review of your options, call JHA at 800.458.0404.

If you are facing utility shut-off or eviction from your home, review our Family Crisis Support Services,  or contact our Resource Center at 248.592.2313 for more information.
