For Caregivers

As we continue to live longer, more people will find themselves in the role of being a family caregiver. In fact, it is estimated that by the year 2030, one in every four Michigan residents will be over the age of 65. While nothing is more fulfilling and rewarding than caring for others, studies show that many months of being a caregiver can take a toll.

Many caregivers say that they struggle with:

-Physical Illness
-Fatigue
-Anger
-Frustration
-Chemical Abuse
-Less family time
-Family conflict
-Less leisure time
-Absence from work
-Depression/anxiety

JFS offers support and assistance for caregivers through our FCAN program (Family Caregiver Access Network).
